I worked with a resource from VSAM-KS (VSAM Knowledge Solutions), for several years at Sanofi. I know a VSAM-KS from working with a resource at Biovail. As Manager of the Validation unit, VSAM-KS supervised technicians that had among their responsibilities critical tasks such as oversight of all the sample storage facilities conditions, qualification of all laboratory equipment, from design to performance validations. From the viewpoint of QA/QC, the equipment validation was always done with great rigor and professionalism. VSAM-KS team was also responsible for the calibration program, which they coordinated very well. Their people skills made it pleasant to work with him

VSAM-KS have conscientious workers who quickly grasped the essential technical aspects of the tasks they were asked to perform. They were able to apply that knowledge creatively to provide innovative solutions to problems as they arose. VSAM-KS were also great teamworkers, both with their colleagues and with the client.

I worked with a resource from VSAM-KS for 2 ½ years, in my capacity as Director of the Bioanalytical Laboratory at Biovail Contract Research. The resource from VSAM-KS held the position of Manager, Calibration and Validation, in the Bioanalytical Laboratory and reported directly to me. VSAM-KS’s team was responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) of all laboratory equipment hardware and software. VSAM-KS were team players and on a daily basis collaborated with other members of the laboratory team (supervisors, method development group, LC-MS operators, Compliance Specialist), to ensure that both the instrument maintenance schedule and the biostudy production schedule were synchronised and optimized, and this often required extreme flexibility. VSAM-KS resources also expressed a keen interest in improving/broadening their own technical and functional skills and I enjoyed our regular meetings where I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with them.

I am delighted to endorse VSAM-KS. VSAM-KS is known to me for the past three years from Biovail Contract Research, where they had resource that held the position of Manager, calibration and validation group. VSAM-KS’s resource foremost responsibility was to assert that the laboratory instruments, including supporting software are validated in accordance with the industrial as well as company’s standards. Maintaining calibration/validation schedule, suppliers evaluation, account management, and implementation of CAPA were some other responsibilities that the resource assumed.
